Latin American Growth Startups Look to Spain

 

Local and foreign investors injected record-breaking levels of venture capital in Latin America. Startups in Latin America will no longer face the same difficulties as predecessors with more capital readily available. Spain is playing an increasingly critical role in Latin American startups looking to invest in Europe through its bilingual community and close ties to the region. Furthermore, support from the Spanish government and several new startup initiatives are helping Latin American entrepreneurs build relationships with partners, local investors and tech talent. Having led talks for the EU-Mercosur, EU-Mexico, and EU-Chile agreements, Spanish VCs have increased their activity in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Colombia, and Peru.
